Congratulations to Dr Parinita Shetty on being awarded prestigious Student Research Prize for her thesis

Dr Parinita Shetty, who was a member of ICY whilst she carried out her PhD here at the School of Education has been awarded the prestigious United Kingdom Literacy Association Student Research Prize for her thesis "Marginally Fannish: Fan Podcasts as Sites of Public Pedagogy and Intersectional Education".  The panel said 'Committee members felt your thesis to be an excellent example of literacy research and were hugely impressed by its contribution to the field.' Her thesis is available to read through White Rose e-theses online.
